Creating a new project

Creating project involves three main steps, creating a project, a Kanban board and importing tasks from CSV.

Creating project from template

1) Select ‘Create a new project’ from the ‘Project’ menu.

2) You will see a new windows pop with project type options to create projects, at the bottom of the popup click ‘Create with shared configuration’.

3) Select the ‘PRODUCTION PLAN - TEMPLATE’ from the drop down option and click next.

4) Enter the name of your project and click ‘Submit’

Note: Always use the template to create new projects and always name the project the same as the project report.

Creating Kanban board from template

1) See ‘View all Boards’ from the ‘Board’ menu.

2) Find the ‘PRODUCTION PLAN BOARD -TEMPLATE’ from the list of project boards and click on the three dotted line on the right and select ‘Copy’

3) Change the name of the board to match your project name by clicking on the little pencil icon under ‘Board name’.

4) On the settings page select the ‘Edit Filter Query’ link under ‘Saved Filter’

5) You will be taken to the Filter page. Make sure the filter search settings is on ‘Basic’ if not click on the ‘Basic’ link next to the search icon on the top right corner of the screen.

6) Untick the current project and select the board you have just created.

Note: Always remember to untick the ‘PRODUCTION PLAN - TEMPLATE’ option otherwise you will be seeing the task lists from two projects.

7) Click ‘Save as’ and name your filter as per your project e.g. ‘SA board filter’
